Will my health insurance cover parts of the costs?
In many cases your health insurance fund will cover some costs. The exact amount of reimbursement depends on three factors.
Isn’t the Eltz Institute „private“?
The Eltz Institute is listed as a qualified orthodontist, which means there is a possibility for a reimbursement of treatment costs for our braces, with your health insurance.
Can I pay by installments?
We offer interest-free installment plans up to 36 months as well as interest-based plans up to 60 months.
What is the treatment duration for braces and orthodontic treatments for adults?
Treatments for braces start at 5 months for adults with minimal crowding and go up to 24 months for complex jaw malformations and misalignments.
Does the Eltz Institute offer the “Gratis Zahnspange”? (Free braces)
Yes, the Eltz Institute counts as one of the first certified users. This means that the treatment via “Gratis Zahnspange” is guaranteed to be cashless and does not need to be pre-financed.
Who qualifies for the „Gratis Zahnspange” (free braces)?
The two following requirements need to be met:
- The patient needs to be under the age of 18 at the start of treatment

How are IOTN severity grades classified?

We invite you to book a free consultation. Please call us at 01/3583101 or book your appointment online.
Are braces tax-deductible?
Eltz braces are tax deductible. When filling out your income tax equalization, you can list the payment for your braces from the previous year, under “extraordinary charges”.
I am X years old, does a treatment still make sense?
Dental health knows no age. At Eltz we treat patients from 6 to 80 years, as it is never too late to correct misaligned teeth.
Since when does the Eltz Institute exist and how many patients have been treated so far?
We are very proud to say that the Eltz Institute exists over 30 years, in which time we have treated over 20.000 patients. Eltz is part of the 5 largest Invisalign providers across Europe and is one of very few Diamond providers.
Can I change the account holder as well as account information for charges during my treatments?
Yes, but please let our reception know at least 5 working days before deduction, then we are happy to support.
Do private insurances cover the treatment costs?
Supplemental insurances partly cover treatment costs depending on your insurance plan. If orthodontic treatments are included in your plan, the refund might entail a couple of hundred Euro per year. Please be mindful though, that most private insurances count the calendar year rather than the treatment duration.
What if my orthodontic treatment takes longer than initially planned? Do I need to pay extra?
Should your treatment take longer than anticipated, there will be no additional costs incurred.
Can I end my installment plan early?
Yes, you can pay off the remainder of your costs at any time and end your installments early.
